Dubai, September 18, 2005: Pacific Control Systems, the global leader in automation, has announced The Waterfront project as the worlds first full-fledged e-Enabled residential building. Located at the Dubai Marina, this premier 20-storey Waterfront development is a signature project of the Hong Kong-based Trident International Holdings (TIH), which appointed Pacific Controls for "total" automation of the building by implementing Web-enabled Home Automation Systems in all the apartments of this luxury tower and integrating it with the Building Management System (BMS).

The integrated system is connected with the World Wide Web and the Building is completely "transparent" through a Web portal that can be accessed by all the apartment owners, service providers and facility managers from anywhere in the world. The Building is also connected with Pacific Controls 24x7x365 Command Control Center, which enables remote monitoring of security, all the electromechanical services and facility management services.

Home owners at The Waterfront have the luxury of e-Lifestyle. All the 71 residential units Web-enabled Home Automation Systems are integrated with the Building Management System (BMS), thus creating a "Total Transparent Building"."

Each home has a Web-enabled Home Automation System that is integrated with the Building Management System (BMS) providing comfortable lifestyle management combined with security and ease-of-use. This status has been achieved with the announcement of The Waterfront as the worlds first fully residential e-Building, which is a proof of our commitment in providing customers with solutions that go way beyond their expectations."

Each unit at The Waterfront is networked through a high speed digital backbone with remote accessible, plug n play controllers. All alarms both critical alarms (such as fire, attempt to break-in, power outages etc.), and other non-critical alarms (such as equipment failure, fault etc.) can be remotely monitored and the details are sent instantly via SMS alerts to the concerned occupants of the building. The control of lights depending on the occupancy pattern, and time-based air-conditioning control and zone temperature monitoring, Home, Away and Vacation modes, bring about substantial savings to energy consumption.
